Cricket is a popular sport played around the world, especially in Australia, England, India, South Africa, and the West Indies. It is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players each. The object of the game is to score runs by hitting the cricket ball with a cricket bat and running around the cricket pitch.

A wicket is taken when the ball hits the stumps (the three vertical posts at the end of the cricket pitch) and knocks the bails (the horizontal pieces on top of the stumps) off.
